Mechanism of antimutagenicity of wheat sprout extracts. Peryt, B., Szmczyk, T., Lesca, P. 1992. Mut. Res. 269:201-215.

carcinogenic aromatic hydrocarbon (benzopyrene) derivatives. Inhibition
of benzopyrene mutagenicity with non-chlorophyll containing wheat
sprout extract suggests that chlorophyll is not the main compound
responsible.
